In a world where there is so much noise and confusion about sexuality, Ultimate Escape offers a safe place to discuss the truth. With creative insights and engaging topics, Steve and Holly Holladay, founders of Ultimate Escape, break through the taboos and hesitation. They equip parents, teens, teachers and church leaders to have meaningful dialogue with each other about sexuality; sharing truth that brings freedom.
Holly Holladay
Holly Holladay, RN, BSN, CCRN is not your ordinary writer/speaker; normal does not fit Holly’s life. She is genuine and real, a truth-speaker with little use for pretense or superficial pleasantries. In her roles of wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and critical care nurse, Holly has navigated more than her share of challenges and disappointments. Through the journey she has learned the value of faith, perseverance, and intimate relationships.
Holly and her husband, Steve, are the founders of Ultimate Escape, a ministry that helps people pursue healthy sexuality. Holly is the mother of four adult children and has two grandchildren. Holly enjoys writing about intimacy and relationship issues, and speaks internationally to teens and adults about her journey and lessons she has learned along the way.
Holly’s interests have been as numerous as apps for smartphones! Among them are photography, writing, traveling, dog showing, singing, playing scrabble, and catering; get the picture? Above all, Holly is a daughter of the King of Kings who desires for others to know their true value.

Addictive Sexual Behavior
Addictive sexual behavior may be the single most common struggle among Christian teens. With internet access and smart phones becoming universally available at yonger and younger ages, issues like porn and sexting are affecting almost every family. Due to the progressive nature of addiction, the building block behaviors of fantasy, porn and masturbation often lead to more involved behaviors over a relativey short period of time.
Many Christian parents are aware of the issues, but are convinced their children would never be involved in such behaviors. In reality, more Christian teens than not are involved is these behaviors. It is common for young people to struggle in silence, believing they are the only ones, especially if they have grown up in a family that does not talk about "such things."
Ultimate Escape was founded by Steve and Holly Holladay to present truth about sexual issues. In the Ultimate Escape presentation, Addictive Sexual Behaviors, you can learn about the topic and some basic steps involved in the recovery journey. (full presentation is below)
Countless individuals are trapped in a cycle of sexual behavior they don’t understand. They want desperately to stop but feel hopeless. What is the real problem? How does one escape the cycle? Lasting freedom involves much more than changing behavior, it requires transforming the mind, engaging emotions, authentic relationships and spiritual healing. Jesus said, “The truth will set you free.” Learn the truth, and practical strategies for utilizing it. You might be surprised to see how a noodle can be getting in the way of your freedom.

Understanding Sexual Identity
Sexual identity is a subject that can evoke a range of emotions in our current cultural climate. Whether it is trying to understand their own thoughts or feelings, or wrestling with how to respond to a friend or family member, many young people experience confusion around the topic.
Sexual identity involves more than orientation or direction of one's attractions. It also involves one's sense of gender and intentions for behavior. For many people of faith, the subject is also connnected to spiritual values and religious teachings. Understanding the big picture surrounding sexual identity can be very helpful to anyone seeking answers about the topic.
In the Ultimate Escape presentation "Understanding Sexual Identity," Steve Holladay presents an overview of sexual identity and explores some of the dynamics related to the topic.

Sex in Culture
Transformed
We live in a broken world. We get wounded in relationships. As our defenses kick-in, we can become disconnected, isolating as a means of protection. Lonely, hurt, sad, fear - the emotions are uncomfortable and drive us to self-medicate in a desperate attempt to escape them. Anxiety increases and life spirals downward. We need help. We need to be rescued. We need to be transformed.
Thankfully, God is more than willing to lift us out of our pit of despair and place us on solid ground. Through our connection with God, He can transform our mind, change our heart and make us new! Witness the life-changing power of transformation, and experience the freedom that God's truth can bring.
Since 2009, Steve Holladay has been helping people embrace God's love by sharing what they can learn about God from a dog. For six years Steve's first rottweiler, Baby Ruth, served as his co-presenter in the original version of this presentation, "Connecting With God." In 2016, Legend stepped into the co-presenter role and transformation became the focus of the presentation.
Steve's creative style makes spiritual meat easy to digest. (see full presentation below) Contact Ultimate Escape to schedule "Transformed: Made New By Connecting With God" for your church, school or other organization. This is one presentation your people will never forget, and they'll enjoy every minute of it!

Talking to Children About Sex
Many Christian parents desire to protect their children from hearing anything about sex because they don't want to "contaminate" their minds or rob them of their childhood innocence. Unfortuntely, culture bombards our children with sexual content and it is impossible to protect them from every potential source. No matter how much we try to protect them, children are going to be exposed to images and messages about sexuality. Much of what they hear and see results in confusion and an inaccurate understanding of the issue.
A better approach is to begin educating children at a young age through consistent, age-appropriate healthy conversations. Instead of spending years dreading having "the talk" when their children become teens, parents should lay the foundation for open dialogue about sexuality when children are young, If parents begin talking with their children at age 3-4 about foundational issues, children will learn they can talk to their parents about the topic and it will always have been "normal" for them.
In the Ultimate Escape presentation "Talking to Children About Sex," Steve Holladay helps parents, grandparents and others who work with children understand the need for early education about the topic. (full presentation is below) Full of practical information, Steve discusses the "why" and the "how to" develop a pattern of healthy conversation that can be comfortable for parents and children.
One of the most difficult challenges for parents is talking with their children about sex. Yet, it is one of the most important topics to address in a hyper-sexual culture, and the process should begin at an early age. Whether you are a parent, grandparent or mentor to a young person, learn how to initiate ongoing conversation and be equipped to address vital issues. Generations long into the future will thank you for establishing a legacy of healthy sexuality in your family!

Beliefs
Ultimate Escape is guided by the following fundamental beliefs as we pursue our mission.
-
God, as creator of the universe, is the author of sexuality. As such, He is the authority regarding appropriate and fulfilling sexual expression, and best knows how sexuality should be experienced and managed.
-
God's word, the Bible, describes sexual behavior in the context of marriage between a husband and wife as good, exciting, pleasurable, and part of God's design for the human experience.
-
God's word also places boundaries around sexual behavior. Erotic sexual behavior between individuals outside the context of marriage is not consistent with God's purpose for sexual expression as described in the Bible.
-
All people are created in the image of God and should be deeply valued. Regardless of one's sexual behavior, beliefs, values or history, all people are worthy of respect and should be treated with the love, compassion and kindness modeled by Jesus.
- God is the source of hope, healing and redemption. God can heal the pain of sexual trauma and abuse, bring freedom to those enslaved by addiction, bring order from the chaos of sexual confusion and brokenness, and restore what has been destroyed by destructive behavior. God's grace and forgiveness are available to all and needed by all.

Steve Holladay holds a master's degree in counseling and has been certified as a Pastoral Sexual Addiction Specialist. Steve's training in sex therapy was at the Institute for Sexual Wholeness in Atlanta, GA.
Steve's relaxed, compassionate personality helps client's feel safe and comfortable as they work through difficult issues like addictive sexual behaviors, trauma/abuse, and sexual/gender identity. Steve's specialty is working with teens and young adults ages 12-30, but he also works with couples and adults of all ages.

In the fall of 2006, Ultimate Escape relocated to Nashville, TN where Steve Holladay began working with the Center for Relational Healing, providing life coaching services for adolescents dealing with sexual issues.
In August of 2009, Ultimate Escape formed a partnership with the Greenville Oaks Church in Allen, TX and moved its operations to the Dallas metroplex. At the end of 2016, Ultimate Escape relocated to north central Louisiana and began operating from an office provided by the WFR Church in West Monroe. In 2022, Ultimate Escape began a transition back to the Nashville area. That transition was completed in 2023. Ultimate Escape is currently based in Dickson, TN and continues to operate as a board-directed, not-for-profit corporation recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3) public charity.
